What is the charge weight calculate method for EXPRESS freight?
The chargeable weight for EXPRESS freight is decided by Gross weight and Volumetric weight. Gross weight is the measured weight for each carton Then what is Volume Weight? The volume weight is calculated by the carton sizes.
For example, there are 10 cartons , each carton with 12KG, each carton size is 50cm* 60cm*40cm. Gross weight =10cartons*12kg/carton total Gross weight is 120KG for this shipment.
One Carton volume weight=50*60*40/5000=24kg
So total volume weight is 10cartons *24kg/carton =240KG
Now we know the final charge weight for this shipment is 240KG.
While there also some special packing size and gross weight cartons, for example, Some cartons gross weight bigger than its volume weight, some are volume weight bigger than its gross weight, Not matter what kinds of size and gross weight, We can help you to calculate exactly the final charge weight.
